Ryanair Extends CEO Michael O’Leary’s Contract Until 2032

Ryanair has announced that it has extended Group CEO Michael O’Leary’s contract until April 2032.

O’Leary, who has led the airline since 1994, is widely credited with transforming Ryanair from a loss-making carrier into Europe’s largest airline by passenger numbers.

Under the new agreement, O’Leary will continue to receive a fixed annual salary of €1.2 million. The contract also grants him the option to purchase more than 10 million Ryanair shares at €26.70 per share, provided he remains in the role until 2032 and meets the agreed performance targets. The current market value of the share option is estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of euros.
